FAQs

  • We do not. Our business model differs from many larger companies in that we are experts in our field, not commissioned sales people. We value your time as we hope you value ours and respectfully charge a small $75 fee for limited inspections which we credit back to work we perform from our report.

  • Innova Termite & Pest Control offers a wide range of termite and wood destroying pest services, including inspections, treatments, and damage repairs.

While we have a license to perform general pest control, we do not offer these services at this time.

  • Limited inspections are brief and are intended to address a concern you have regarding your home, such as evidence you’ve seen that may indicate some sort of infestation. This type of inspection does not include attics or crawlspace investigation.

Complete inspections include the exterior, interior, attic and crawlspace where accessible.

Both types of inspections come with a written report and photographs where available.

  • There are several signs that might indicate a termite or wood destroying pest infestation, such as the presence of discarded wings, pellets, mud tubes along walls or foundations, hollow-sounding wood, or visible damage to wooden structures. If you suspect that you may have an infestation it's best to schedule a professional inspection.

  • In short, nothing.

The truth is there are things you can do to make your home less attractive to termites, (you can read about those here) but our experience is that prophylactic treatments often lull homeowners into a false sense of invulnerability. Think of termite inspections as a routine maintenance task and have a complete inspection done every 3-4 years.

  • As much as we’d love to say, “sure” we just can’t. The fact is, it’s against regulation to state, or even insinuate that any pesticide, regardless if it’s naturally derived is “safe”, or “non-toxic”. Innova Termite uses and apply fungicides and termiticides that we believe provide an effective balance of control and limited risk to environmental and biological health.

  • yes, your termite report will come with information regarding the warranty on specific items.

  • Yes, we do. BUT, please keep in mind, we are a tiny company and may not be able to complete work needed on tight timelines. Please be sure to communicate your timeline with our office prior to scheduling your inspection.

  • This is an interesting phenomenon in the termite industry. If you are requesting a “complete” inspection, there is no regulatory difference between a homeowner inspection and an inspection that is suitable for real estate disclosure.

If a termite inspector licensed in the State of California inspects your home and renders an opinion of an observation, you are legally entitled to a written report, on a state approved form indicating the inspector’s findings and recommendations REGARDLESS of whether or not you were charged a fee for that inspection.
